First Day of School

Last night we came home from a fabulous day at Trina and John's and spent a few minutes getting Boyd ready for his first day back at school. He's got a decently stressful load on his shoulders this semester, but all in hopes that next semester (his last) will be smooth sailing. He's starting Capstone along with taking Systems, Manufacturing Competitiveness, and Internal Combustion Engines. He's also taking some internship credits where he gets an A for going to work and writing a journal about it, and is a part of the pre-law review where he'll edit other people's papers (which I don't understand the importance behind exactly, but it helps him get into the law review when he's in law school).

We were actually on top of things this year and got his books ordered enough in advance for him to start of the year with all his materials. He was pretty amazed and excited when they had all arrived and he realized how small they all were. Usually engineering books weigh a TON, but it looks like his back will get a break this time around.

As for me, I'm more excited than anticipated about all the fall festivities starting. The beginning of the school year means that there are a lot of events just around the corner. I've only got 8 weeks left of this pregnancy, and am getting more and more ready for our baby to be born. Boyd will be applying to law schools this fall, and it will be fun to decide where we want to live for the next little bit. Sometimes it's hard to internalize all the new things coming out way, but it's definitely very exciting!
