The Boy is Getting Bigger

It seems like he always gets really cranky right when I have to start making dinner, so we've started putting him in his swing in front of the TV at that time. Almost always, he falls asleep.

One Saturday he was getting bored with his toys, so Boyd decided to make a fort out of them with his blanket. JB was entertained for many many more minutes and was all smiles. It'll be fun to see all the forts he makes in the future.

After church a couple Sundays ago we came home and let him play while we did dinner. He always has to get his wiggles out after sitting on our laps for 3 hours. When we went to check on him we saw that he had scooted underneith his toy and was treating it like a jungle gym. (Notice his feet)

I don't remember what I was doing, but he was sure happy!

After waking himself up from a nap, Boyd went in to find him like this. Somehow he had managed to get his blanket up almost completely over his face. He's so big, but still likes to be swaddled when he sleeps, so we have to fold his blanket in half diagnal ways in order to get it wide enough. This causes his feet to hang out of the bottom uncovered. We try to use other blankets to cover them up, but he just kicks them off.

Since the weather's been getting better, he and I have started taking almost daily walks. You can tell he likes them, because this Monday when we were getting ready he was all smiles! Oh, and he's also starting to reach for things....in the picture above he's just starting to reach for the camera.



Thank you Trina for letting us use your exersaucer, and thank you Gerb for bringing it over yesterday. At first he was kind of scared of it, but after putting a few familiar toys on it, he warmed up a bit. I think it'll be hours of fun, and more free time for mommy!
