This year we were lucky to find a good looking fake Christmas tree that fit a college student budget. Boyd went to town with the lights, and we had fun decorating it with the few ornaments we own. We even made gingerbread men (and trees) to hang in some of the more empty spots. It was a lot of fun, and I know I enjoyed the added sparkle it brought to our home during this Christmas season.
On fun thing we did this year was each hanging a small white sock on the tree. Inside the sock was a piece of paper with our gifts to Jesus for the upcoming year written on it. Next year when we get out the ornaments, we'll take out our pieces of paper and see how well we did. Then we can write gifts for the next year.
