A Tour Through Our New Place

So it's taken me a while, but with the arrival of our "new" entertainment center last night, I decided it was finally time to take pictures of where we now live. Plus, I got a little nudge from my grandma that sped up the process.

Welcome! This is our little half of our duplex....we call it home. Come on in!

This is the view from our entry way/4x4 tiled area. I LOVE our new couches. Boyd sure has spoiled me over the past month. They're so cozy and soft. You should come sit on them sometime!


A view from the other end of the living room. Our big window lets lots of beautiful sunshine in, and we get to look out at the lovely, large trees we have in our yard. Lots better than Wymount! And that old recliner came with us....JB loves to rock in it before bed, and it's now Boyd's new favorite study spot. Very good for lots of night-time reading.


This is the entertainment center that we found on craigslist. Of course it's not perfect, but I'm not complaining! From here you can also see how the kitchen is off to the side of our "entry-way".


The far end of the living room leads to the two bedrooms and bathroom. This is our room! It's quite spacious...and with all of our junk being downstairs (unfinished and empty makes for great storage space), it feels even bigger. And guess what? We now have doors on our closets!!!


This is JB's room. Not a whole lot in it except for his crib, toy box and some kiddie books, but he sees to like having his own room. As long as you're nearby he'll play in there just great.


Our bathroom!!!!! We have a counter AND a cabinet under the sink. Two bonuses Wymount didn't have to offer. The huge linen closet outside the bathroom makes it easy to keep the bathroom clutter down.



Back to the other end of the house. Here's the kitchen. So much bigger than my last one! The counter space is wonderful, and I adore the window over the sink!!! I have some great decorating ideas that will be put in place here and there over the next year.


See that door on the side of the kitchen? That leads to our side door which opens up to our driveway and backyard....


We love our backyard. We haven't been able to spend as much time as we'd like in it due to me falling down the stairs a couple weeks ago and landing on my ankle (it still hurts after a long day on my feet). We've also had quite a few rainy days lately, but we hope to put in lots of hours out there. Well, that's it! We like it. It's starting to feel like home.
