Trip to the Zoo

Saturday we went to the Hogle zoo and had a blast! Boyd hadn't been since he was a little kid and it had been a good handlful of years since I'd gone. It was the perfect day, cool and not too busy.

I think zoos are so much fun. It's just so much fun to see so many kiddos running around, filled with excitement to find this animal and that hiding in their cages. I'll never be too old to have fun at the zoo. Here are some pictures of some of our favorite animals!

JB had a great time! It took him a while to get into the animals, and some definitely caught his eye better than others (especially the ones that move really fast!) but he was all smiles the whole time! It was adorable, and he was such a good sport, but at the end of the day, what we all wanted was one of these:


However, JB was the only one that got one. That evening we went to Boyd's cousin, Devon's, wedding reception. Last weekend he married the beautiful Annette, and they were back in Utah for their celebration here. What a gorgeous bride and handsome groom! Sad to say we don't have any pictures, but we did enjoy ourselves immensely. An evening of ice cream and family couldn't have ended our day any better.
