We couldn't have asked for a better spot to camp. There was plenty of lush ground cover to make sleeping more comfortable, and the woods were so thick around us that we were in shade the whole time. There are some nice hiking trails in that area that we hope to be able to go back to and take advantage of as well.
After a very relaxing evening by the fire, cooking frozen pot pies and burritos for dinner (they worked quite well), roasting marshmallows and looking at the stars, we bedded down for a very quite night. The next morning we drove and hiked around looking at some of the breathtaking views the mountains give us. Boyd loves the mountains, so he was sure to take lots of pictures.
And in case you're wondering about how the LSAT went, Boyd thinks he did pretty well. He came out feeling confident, and now we just have to wait a couple more weeks to get the results. Hopefully he'll get the score he wants so he can put the books away and enjoy the rest of the summer. It sure has been nice having him home in the evenings during the past week, and I wouldn't mind if it stayed that way.
